TECHNICAL DISTRIBUTION

MITSafetrans is the Italian leader in handling of hi-tech equipment and components. The size, mass and sensibility of these devices require special skills in all the operational cycle phases: 

  1. Pick up at the customers' warehouse or MITsafetrans' warehouses (Integrated Logistics) 
  2. Transportation: 
    1. Introduction (or extraction) with possible unpacking 
    2. Positioning with possible assembly or assistance to assembly 
    3. Removal of obsolete equipment (Reverse Logistics)

MITSafetrans usually transports unpacked goods in total safety and with care. For large equipment and for difficult introductions and/or extractions the operational cycle envisages, before the transport: 

  • Technical on-the-spot inspections 
  • Operation planning 
  • Implementation plans, safety plans

The Technical Distribution transportation employs equipped means able to meet the requirements of each service 

  • Minimum two people per crew 
  • Hydraulic hoist board 
  • Integral pneumatic suspensions
  • Rigid covering
  • Landing multiple systems
  • Loading / unloading equipment 
  • if required by the service Cranes (also with high capacity and wide extension) 
  • Exceptional transports as to shape and weight

In particular the activitiese envisage the following working cycle:



UNLOADING and INTRODUCTION

 

The equipment unloading at destination site is performed using lifting means suitable to the load requirements (mass, shape, fragility, etc.).

Further to the use of the usual equipment the fleet of vehicles are provided with (hoist board, crane arm), MITSafetrans has the means to perform: 

  • Very heavy equipment unloading 
  • Large shape equipment unloading 
  • Unloading with wide range and/or high capacity cranes

Particular care is paid to the material slinging performed according to all the state of the art technical rules and with suitable equipment, even purposely designed to meet all the service requirements.
Introductions of equipment in operational rooms, especially the most difficult ones, are performed using all the operating teams expertise and professional skills supported by proper Robots for handling operations.

UNPACKING

 

After the introduction in the operational areas that have to receive the equipment, MITSafetrans’ operators, upon Customer's request, also carry out the delivered goods unpacking.
The Company handles waste materials, thus freeing the Consignee and the Customer from this operation and leaving the site arranged for the following operations or its operablility.

POSITIONING WITH POSSIBLE ASSEMBLY OR ASSISTANCE TO ASSEMBLY

 

The operating teams carry out the equipment positioning according to the instructions supplied by the Customer and the manufacturer specifications.

Upon Customer's request, MITSafetrans operators’ themselves are skilled and qualified for assembly or, alternatively ,  to co-operate with the technicians in charge of it.

REVERSE LOGISTICS: OBSOLETE EQUIPMENT REMOVAL

 

An interesting option for the Customer MITSafetrans is the removal of obsolete equipment from operational areas that shall receive the new equipment.
The Company, upon Customer’s request, can put its expertise and knowledge at disposal for this waste disposal.

TECHNICAL ON-THE-SPOT INSPECTION

 

Hi-tech equipment transport and handling need an accurate planning.
The first element to plan is knowing exactly the equipment features and the ones relating to the site that will receive it.
Each site has its own peculiar features that, sometimes, imply equipment-handling problems whose solution is deeply studied.
MITSafetrans has a competent and qualified technical personnel able to perform on-the-spot inspections in order to acquire all the technical elements needed to plan the service.

The following stage is actual planning.

Namely, the planning department is entrusted to: 

  1. Determine the operations optimal sequence 
  2. Define the equipment needed 
  3. Identify safety measures 
  4. Outline specific engineering solutions 
  5. Assess possible environmental impacts

SAFETY PLANS

 

The Company is very careful on those aspects relating to hygiene and work safety both for operators and third parties and on those aspects relating to environment safeguard.
The safety and protection service not only cares of the constant working cycle updating in compliance to the relevant new laws, but it also outlines detailed and specific  safety and coordination plans.
When the service is performed together with sub-contractors, documents integrate the the important factor of the internal operating co-ordination.
